The LSB Experience ( Luntungan, Sligter, Broek) has 5 members, musicians that have in common that they were teenagers in the Seventies, and their love for the timeless music of that era. Here’s a short biography:
It’s 2010, Sjoerd van den Broek and Hans Sligter are in a Beatles Tribute Band, The Old Brown Shoes. This even brings them to the US, where the world’s biggest Beatles Tribute Festival Abbey Road On The River takes place every year.
Meanwhile Sjoerd and Hans get together with Marcel Luntungan to cover music of a.o.The Eagles, James Taylor, Jackson Browne, Venice. They name the Band The LSB Experience.
In 2012 just when The Old Brown Shoes is on the point of going to Abbey Road On The River, fans of the festival talk about The LSB Experience. The Old Brown Shoes breaks up, LSB is invited to the festival.
With big stages in mind, LSB asks drummer Peter Deiman and bassplayer Rob Hendriks, both members of the band Marathon Men, to join them.
The Dutch band is warmly welcomed by Abbey Road On The River.
The LSB Experience has traveled abroad every year since then. They even recorded their own original songs in Erwin Musper’s studio, The Bamboo Room, Cincinnati.
This project that led to the album The Experience was financed with crowdfunding, thanks to a growing fanbase.
In The Netherlands, they brought a theatre show, The Story Of The Troubadour, and toured with stand-up comedian Dolf Jansen.
Now, it’s 2019. The LSB Experience will have their travels and share the stage with big names like Gino Vannelli, The Little River Band, Orleans, Leo Sayer, The Beach Boys, Grand Funk Railroad….
Next to that they are working on a new theatre show called Beatles & Beyond, which will start coming fall.
